Veterans Can Get Financial Aid For Home Care

Financial assistance for in-home care is available through a reimbursement program to qualified vets and surviving spouses. Trusted Loving Care can help our clients apply to the VA to receive money to cover part or all of cost of non medical home care costs we provide.

What is the benefit?

This benefit is for aid and attendance for non service related disabilities requiring non medical home care.

How much money are we talking about?

Veterans can receive up to $1,519.00 per month from the VA.

A vet and spouse can get up to $1,801.00 per month.

A surviving spouse may receive up to $976.00.

What do I need to  qualify?

  • A documented medical condition related to aging or declining health.

  • Be unable to drive

  • Served 90 days active duty with at least one day in a stated period of war

  • Liquid assets should not exceed $60,000

What do you mean about reimbursement?

Because processing of applications with the VA can take several months, vets or their families must be prepared to pay initial home care costs. When the check from the VA comes, it will reimburse the vet for expenses already paid. Subsequent checks will cover the money spent for the previous month on home care.

There is no cost to our clients to apply. Contact us at 734-302-1234 to inquire about our FREE in-home assessment, and care package options.
